Opinions and Comparison of Bind Free LCA's

I'm getting ready to purchase some LCA's and am having trouble deciding what I want.

Should you get 1 spherical rod end with 1 solid end?
2 spherical rod ends?
3 piece poly ball Chassis Bushing?

Do you really need 2 spherical rod ends for complete bind free operation? Or will 1 spherical rod end be completely adequate for a performance street car?

My car has:
35mm/21mm sway bar
JM panhard rod
Bilstein HD shocks
Stock springs
275/40/17 Z rated tires

For bind free articulation don't get regular poly bushings on either end. Otherwise you will not be able to get full articulation; been there done that.
J&M 3 piece poly-ball on both ends of lca's works great (best bang for the buck). Spohn Del-Sphere Pivot Joints on both ends of lca's is a better option, it cost a lot more but ends have a lot better wear characteristics and just as quiet. And my favorite the UMI lca's with the new Roto-joints on both ends. The Roto-joints are very similar(including cost) to the del-sphere except they do the same thing with fewer parts, which IMO seems like a better/ stronger design.

Was there a significant feel difference? Or did you use these on a track car?

If you want completely bind free then you might want to look at these. They are also currently on special and don't have the poor wear characteristics of rod ends or Delrin. The bushings also carry a lifetime warranty.

No this is on my daily driver, but I drive it hard. I tried a regular poly/poly bushing L.R.C.A's. when I first got my car big mistake for handling! Then I had rod-end/rod-end combo which worked great for 5+ yrs, then they started to get really loud! Then I tried a rod-end/regular poly bushing combo it wasn't bad, but I could tell I still wasn't getting full articulation. I had the J&M 3 piece poly-ball which worked great(full articulation/quiet), but I decided to try some Johnny-Joint adj. LRCA's but I recently decided to got with a lighter/simpler/ design and got some non-adjustable UMI LRCA's with their new fully rebuildable Roto end joints, I'm completely happy with them, because they offer me exactly everything I want/need!

Any of the ends I listed will work great for you, I just preferred to go with what I feel is the best design to me.

The final choice is yours, good luck!

I think the rod end/poly works great for a dd. I installed the poly end at the body. Works great, and I do track the car. When the rod ends get would, I just replace them. Mine are screwed in at the rod end.
