Not sure why they aren't working, but try the search. That's what those links were.

What are you basing that statement off of? The design is so similar I would like to know how you determined that the Kenny Brown ones are "not nearly as good" as SLPs. Please enlighten us with your inherent wisdom.

Well I can see your trying to get more from him, but I would like to speak.

I have had SLP's on two cars, loved them on both, and didnt lose any clearence, mostly cause things would just hit the sfc's instead of the tranny after having them.

I have seen them both side by side, and well the SLP's just look better, the welds are damn near perfect, they are biult from quality steel, and fit perfect both times.
The KB's had decent welds, but they felt cheap, and werent even close to fitting right, we had to cut and reweld a bit for the driver side to fit.

In short, I will stick to SLP

Gotta go with what ive seen with my car. My KB subframes were and are great. Fit fine, all good welds and i dont know what your steel looked like but mine looked fine. Either way they are both good choices, but i dont see how that one guy could say that SLPs were so much better. Wont go wrong with either really.

well exactly, cant go wrong either way.
But when your job was a steelworker and looking at both, I couldnt in my right mind pick the KB over the SLP. for the 9lbs heavier they are they will be much more stiff.

IF you look at SLPs and KBs side by side, they use different sizes of materials. In front, the material on KBs isnt nearly as strong, and where they actually mount to the frame, it isnt as strong either. You ever seen the couple sets of pictures of KBs after people have run their cars extremely hard or used them as a jacker point? I would never put KBs on a car. Might as well just run no SFC if they're going to bend and contort like that.

Thanks for the opinions guys! i think I am gonna go with the SLP's since find them better and stiffer and not to mention that they are cheaper too.

now comes the question... weld on or bolt on... which is better? is it true bolt -on could eventually strip?

Re: Opinions on Kenny Brown double Diamond subframes

I have the KBDD and no problems with them when they were installed three years ago. I paid a local guy $75 to weld them in and it took about an hour. One bolt hole had to be elongated. Like you, I searched a lot and went with these. If I had to do it again, I would go with the Global West Tubular ones for more money. These are stiff and all the squeaks went away, I would just like to get it tighter, maybe the cage will help.
