Panhard bar

Does anybody do anything to strengthen the brace that goes to the panhard bar bracket? It looks like an upper panhard bar. Just wondering if I should box it in or leave it alone?

Thanks
John

Granatelli used to sell a tubular upper bar, which is no more than a brace for the vertical chassis arm that the panhard bar mounts to. BMR sells an offset tubular bar and relocation kit for the panhard bar, to make space for an exhaust pipe on the driver's side. If you are worried about strength, just box the stock upper brace in. I dont' thing you need to worry about it.

I've seen a 1,350HP 30th SS convertible that eliminated the upper brace completely for weight reduction, with no problems. Not bad for a low 8-second, 160+MPH convertible.
