Panhard and LCA bolt sizes...

I broke my stock bolts that hold the panhard rod in. It looks like a 12mm, but there is some slop in the bushings with this size. Dont you want the bolt width to be snug against the metal hole inside the bushing of your panhard rod? I went ahead and purchased 2 grade 8 bolts that are 1/2"x 3" long. They have about an 1/8 of slop or so. What is the correct size for this bolt? I planned on just using a drill bit where they mount to make the size the same all the way so I dont need the step down bolts.

The hardware store is 20 minutes from here and I have to walk. So I cant necesarrily walk down to the store with my panhard rod in hand to get the correct size.

Thanks a million!

I just recieved my panhard, lca's and subframe connectors.

The powdercoating job is amazing!

Great products at a great price.

Its a special bolt with 12 mm threads and a 14 mm shoulder. It means a trip to the dealer.

Re: Panhard and LCA bolt sizes...

I was able to use 14mm bolts for the panhard rod and a 9/16" drill bit to enlarge the one side of the hole that is smaller. Now a regular 14mm or 9/16" fits just fine. 1/2" is the size for the LCA's.

Posting such big pics is a killer for a dial up user.

I'd buy the bolts at the dealer. You don't want to take chances with suspension fasteners.
