Parking Brake Not working?
So I got my car registered in Wichita County so I don't have any emissions tests to worry out (ordered O2's, on the way, but different story.)
Went to inspection, failed because my E-brake doesn't hold at 1500 RPMS..which I've know for a while that my E-brake didn't work worth crap.
It's pretty hard to pull on and I had my g/f pull on it while I looked at the rear brakes, both sides. The line is pulling them in about 1in on each side.
Don't really know where to go from here?
Check all 3 lines?
Replace them?
Brake pads still have a good chunk of life on them, replace them anyway?
Thanks

Re: Parking Brake Not working?
Looked at the lines.. none are adjustable from what it appears.
My rotors were worn and my pads were on the way out too so I replaced those.
Guess I'll have to order a new cable and see if that cures the problem

Re: Parking Brake Not working?
Right now I purchased rebuilt stock calipers to but on the rears that comes with the e-brake equipment.
Going to see if that helps it out any and if not, replace the cables.
No harm in replacing them since they are old anyways and one of the adjustment screws is stripped.
I'll let you know when I get them fixed and how I did it.
Doing all of this because my e-brake won't hold my car @ 1500 RPM and won't pass inspection, which I just got a ticket for the other day :/
