It has about 2" of metal line from the caliper. I'm wondering if this is a brake line out of a car with traction control or are all the LS1 stock flex lines like that?

Yeah... good idea. The passenger side brake line that comes from the banjo bolt and turns from metal to rubber is about a half inch or less from the tire rim. I bent the hard line to position the flex hose away from the tire. But the flex line makes a pretty tight curve radius to get it away from the rim.
I hadn't thought about moving the banjo fitting to postion it better. (Gawd... I hate bleeding the brakes!!)
