pinion angle...how to adjust
is there a way to adjust pinion angle without an adjustable torque arm?
i know they make TA mounting brackets with some adjustment...but does that change pinion angle?
reason i ask is i may get a new torque arm...debating on adjustable or not. right now i'm stock height, but i plan to lower it a bit. wondering how much that affects the TA adjustments.

I'd go with the adjustable type. I have Spohn's trans mount TA. Nice piece. I also recommend a bolt kit like the one Spohn sells. The stock bolts are not really long enough for full thread engagement with an aftermarket TA.

Teke actually you can do some tweaking with the stock setup. My original 10 bolt was way out of spec from the factory. It killed the original U-joint in less than 20,000 miles. I used shims made from 1/4" steel plate stock under the reat trans mount to bring it back into spec. Conversely if you need the tailshaft of the trans to move down you can shim the tranny crossmember to floorpan mounts but you'll need longer bolts. I eventually went with a new axle & Random Technology torque arm, but didn't have to for function. HTH
