Poly bushings made squeeking noises way to much

I put some poly bushings on my front control arms on my 79Z. It squeeked like hell for over 2 weeks. Once time i parked it and got out and for 5 seconds it continued to make noise as the car was sitting. One day it just completely stopped making any noise and is as quiet as the stock ones. Anyone have a clue what was going on.

Mine squeeked too when first installed, even used the supplied whale snot that came with them. After a while and another shot or two of lube it went away. Then again I had grease fittings, do you?

Did you torque the bolts at ride height or in the air? I usually get noise for about a month, then never hear anything after they set in. I guess it takes time for the lube to work around.

In tightened them in the air and i have no grease fittings. The noise seems to be gone except for a few small times.

I ended up buying a couple tubes of the grease as well and liberally added more. The packets they supply just don't have enough IMO.
