Positioning hood vents to release underhood pressure/heat

This is specifically on a fibreglass WS6 hood for a 94 pontiac firebird after converting it to a front breather.

I had initially envisioned these on the buldge of the WS6 hood in the middle or so, the thinking being that the highest point would reduce the most air/heat/pressure. It was then brought to my attention that the air making its way past the air box would cause turbulent flow behind it resulting in possible "issues" with the air leaveing.

There has been talk about putting small vents over the wheel area of the hood. The reasoning behind that being that the air should be fairly smooth and air from the front and middle should at least partially make it's way over there.

Where would you guys put them and why?
