You should have held the rod by the top of it. It fits a ¼" open end wrench, I think. You mentioned something about a gap where the LCAs bolted up. There should not be any gaps where the inner bushing sleeve meets the bracket, after the bolt is tightened.

Well after doing the same to the shocks we took off, we figured that out.. Tighted them up, them seem to compress fine and all, the drivers side seems a bit stiffer then the pass side, but they both seem to work fine... I think the little gap where the lca's are is my problem... I've has this same issue with both sets of my PA racing aka pro fab LCA's...

So do you think I could have messed the shocks up?

If the lca's were loose would they make these horrific noises I hear ??

I'll let you know how it goes today, Gonna start on the car again around 10-1030am......

Hopefuly its just the LCA's and all goes well

It was my LCA's...

All better now !!!

Got my full set of 1LE Springs/Shocks in all around !!!

Couldnt be happier !!

The install went very well...
