Question A Question about Stock Shocks... Please Help!

Hey All,

I've got a 94 Z28 that had stock shocks on it. I recently ordered a set of rear, take-off replacements from SLP.

The set I got from SLP shows the following numbers:

3649-0 N2

The original shocks show:

3644-0 R2

There is a noticible difference between the two sets. The original set is much "beefier" than the replacement set from SLP.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between these two?

Can you tell me what the markings are on your stock decarbon shocks and tell me what year your Z28 is?

Did SLP send me the wrong ones???

Thanks, in advance, for your help!!!

E

Sounds like you may have already had the 1LE decarbons... The backs are much beefier then the stocker decarbons as you stated.....

Do you have a 1LE car ???

No, my car started out as a regular Z28.

I'm the second owner, and I know that the first owner didn't do a thing to the car, so I'm a bit baffled.

What color are the shocks you removed from your car?

Well if they are bigger and beefier then the stock decarbons as you stated, it sounds as if you have 1LE decarbons on there... There is no other excuse for having the bigger shocks....

Both sets, the original and the take offs from SLP are orange. Sucks I'm replacing the beefier shocks with the others. So much for getting a "good deal"...
