question with abs removal

question with abs removal

ok when i remove the big abs box with the lines and plugs going to it will i set a light off?

what do i do with the clips that pluged into the abs box?

any input would be appriciated

Is there any reason you are removing the ABS system? i don't really see a reason to do so.

there are several reasons i removed it (and many others in here)

1 weight reasons...it is a car i will only use at the track
2 making room under the hood and cleaning under there up
3 its fugly and im an experianced driver...dont really need abs

you wont need the box.. just clip and clean up the junk, after re-routing the pipes.

yea i know i wont need the box...im just wondering it a light will come on ...i cant find out as my motor and kmember are sitting on my front porch! lol

also all the plug in clips that go into the abs box do i just tuck them away somewhere or what?

Yes, you will get a light. (why wouldn't you?) You will need to remove the abs bulb behind the dash, or have it edited out of your ECU. As for the plugs.. hide them or snip them as I stated above. Just make sure if you do, that no bare wire is present.

i have to send my ecu back out for tuning so i may have it edited out then...i asumed it would send the light ...but wanted to make sure...and like i said with the engine sitting on my front porch i couldnt check and verify
