questions on brake bleeding...

I have a 95 T/A, M6, without traction control. I have ordered stainless brake lines, drilled/slotted rotros, and hawk hps pads. I have read, and searched on here, but still a little confused on a couple things. I know how to bleed the brakes with the bleeders on each caliper. I am a bit confused on bleeding the ABS unit. I read that there are two different bleeders on the ABS unit. Where is the ABS unit located, and would it have to be bled? I was also looking at the speed bleeders/solo bleeders, are they a good idea? I do have someone to help me with bleeding the brakes. I would also like to change out the brake fluid and have read that basically anthing with work except DOT 5. Would dot 3 or 4 synthetic fluid, mix with the regular fluid? Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Travis

If I made sure not to run the MC dry, would I still have to bleed the ABS unit?

I doubt it. Any time I have bled the brakes on my car, I just ignored the ABS unit and all has been fine. Just watch the master cylinder level. If you use a Mityvac (or similar), it's pretty easy.

I just bled my brakes on my 95 Formula. PRetty easy. I used a quick bleedy kit that i bought from checkers and just slid the tube over the bleeding screws, stuck the bottle up higher then the calipers, opened the screws pumped the brakes a few times, added fluid, pumped brakes add fluid, check line for air once you see no air you tighten her up, empty it, and move on to the next caliper. start with the rear right, then the rear left then the front right lastly the front left (farthest away from the master cylinder work your way closer) pretty easy all in all
