Quick ratio steering box

Please help. I am trying to find a quickratio (12.7:1) steering box for a second generation camaro. How can I identify one at the auto wrecker? I have been told that if the casting number ends in 25 it is a fast ratio box. If it ends in 92 then it is not. I am questioning this logic as I have found an 1980 turbo trans am with rear discs etc. and the box ends in 92. Shouldn't this car have a quick ratio box?

Also will the third generation boxes fit? Just have to change the pitman arm?
