you dont really need them. You can actually just get rid of the old ones.

I wouldn't delete them. The protect the shocks from over compression. They would also soften the impact of the body dropping onto the axle housing, possibly helping you maintain control in an extreme situation.

I trust this more. Because from experience with bad bump stops the axle will slam down harder and it will cause more wheel hop and when I've replaced them the wheel hop is way less. They are there for a reason and that reason is a good one. I just need to know if there are some aftermarket ones like from ES or something cuz I've heard of metal ones but those have to make noise.

Re: Rear Axle Bump Stop OPTIONS?

When my springs/shocks were worn out and the 10 year old bump stops went bad, it was totally horrible. The bump stops are only like 15 dollars a piecefrom gmpartsdirect.com and something like 25 a piece from a local dealer.
Every speedbump or pothole you could feel the axle slam into the body. You don't want to crack your whole unibody because you saved 50 bucks on bump stops.

The ones you get from gm now will be polyurethane too.
