Rear C5 brake converision.
I tried a search but came up with next to nothing. It looks like C5 calipers will work on the LS1 rear brake assembly, but does anyone know about the LT1 rear.
Im doing the C5 conversion on the front and want to do something for the rear. I know the rear brakes only do about 30% of the brakeing, and I dont care if its not worth it. I want to fill up some of the space with these huge 18" Z06's.
So does anybody know if the C5 calipers and rotors/pads will work on the LT1 rear. Do I need some type of conversion bracket like in the front?

your questions about the C5 rear brakes will be answered by heading over to thirdgen.org and going into the brake board section of the message forums. There are a few guys runing them on a 4th gen rear. There is a member there who will get you EVERYTHING you need to complete your brake upgrade andhe is very reasonalbe on prices and he knows a lot about these systmes. His member name there is EbMiller88

I know for the application chart, it does not list the 4th gen, but I talked to them the other day and they said it will work, they just havent updated their site yet.

Install your front c5 kit and put some good pad in the rear and go try it.You dont need nothing more in term of braking power, but seems to already know it...
700$ for the kit without the caliper, brake pads and discs. With the missing part we are talking about more then 1k $$$
And only to fill up your mags
IMAO totally useless
