Rear End CLUNK.... Could it be LCA's ???
#16
Here's another vote for not tight enough LCA's. After installing my SLP subframes, I started getting a "clunk" out of the rear at times. I initially thought the subframes were loose, but it still happened after tightening them down. I then wrote it off to LCA binding and had my mind set on upgrading them ... then while installing a tunnel brace, I decided to look up the torque specs of the LCA bolts in my service manual and they were no where close. After tightening them to the correct ft/lbs, no more clunking.
So, if you didn't tighten the LCA bolts with the car at curb height (ie: not on jack stands) using a torque wrench, go back and do this 1st.

Also the rear end pretty much felt like its binding up and trying to lock itself in the turns... So tiny pieces are normal in the rear as well ?
I'm gonna put fluid back in it tommorow and hopefully it'll be better for a lil bit at least...

It's ok to lift the rear as long as you support the rear axle so the suspension does not flex.
When I 1st read the service manual, I thought it said they had to be tightened with the car on the ground. But I read it again and realized it states that the suspension must be at curb height ... in other words, not flexed out at all.
