Which Rear End/Differential will fit

I have a 1995 firebird with a noisy rearend that has 3.73 gears in it. I need to fix it and don't really want the 3.73 gears. I can get a used rear end for $100 but am not sure what will fit. Are a drum brake and disc brake one the same? Can I take the drum brake set up off of one and put my disc brake set up on it? Looks like it might be a bolt on bolt off swap. Also what year cars can I pull one from? Thanks.

You're gonna get cited for cross posting the same question in two forums. You already have this question (with some replies in drivetrain). You can delete this thread.
