Rear rotors for 1995 Z28 nightmare

I bought a set of drilled & slotted rotors online for my just purchased 1995 Z28. After removing the wheels, rotors & pads, replacing them, them putting the wheel back on I notice that the supposedly OEM all cast rotors are about 1/8 thicker on the center hub than the steel center hub of the original. This makes the axle not quite flush with the wheel when tightened, and the lug nuts have over an 1/8 inch of being flush as the originals were. I was going to just get longer studs but that would not change the axle being flush. After getting another pair from a different auto parts store, I see that ALL the cast versions of this rotor are thicker than the steel centers. So my question is...Do I spend another $100+ and get the steel center rotors from AC Delco? Or does the slight difference even matter? I realize that they have to make the cast ones slightly thicker than the steel ones, but they are NOT OEM. Anybody else have this problem with aftermarket rear rotors?

Re: Rear rotors for 1995 Z28 nightmare

Well, after talking to a Chevy dealer, it seems part # 18A624 which is the iron center rotors I need have been discontinued by GM. Even websites which have that part listed, after checking, say the same thing. I found one retailer online which said he found 2 in one of his warehouse so I bought them. I hope they are original and not the cast one which all the parts stores have but are too thick for proper fit. I just wonder how all other 95 Z28 owners solved this problem?

OK, after not being able to find the steel center rotors ANYWHERE, I have the car in the shop getting longer studs put in. I think the problem is when they made this car, they had steel center rotors so they used shorter studs to fit them. Since I bought the car from original owner, I think he never replaced the rear rotors as they last way longer than fronts.
