Re: Reasonably priced slotted rotors...options?
I ended up buying a set of Poweslot rotors off ebay for $220 shipped. So now I have:
- Powerslot rotors
- Painted my calipers red w/Brent's CAMARO decals in silver. (just the calipers, not the brakets)
- Hawk Pads
- Earl's LS1 lines
- Other LS1 upgrade stuff (knuckle/hubs)
Just need to put it all on and bleed. I'll post a topic with some pictures of the whole set up when I'm done this weekend.

I coulda sworn there was a reason race cars use slots or cross drilled rotors?!! I thought it was for the gasses and dust to escape so the pads dont float giving the pads a better grab on the rotors and also better cooling with the air passing through And race cars dont just spend money drilling holes in rotors so they look "cool" and another thing how did it become cool to have holes in them ? because the race cars have em maybe? And why would a race car have them?

Yes, the slots or holes keep the rotors much cooler. I can tell you that on my Z, I used to have a brake fade issue during aggressive driving in the desert heat. This was eliminated when I installed the powerslot rotors. I have not had any brake fade at all with the powerslots even during severe heat. This is with VGX pads.
