removing ABS and traction control

i have a 96 formula with traction control and ABS.

when i installed the procharger i had to relocate the traction control, i would rather remove it completely along with the abs. i found this kit here to do ithere but im not sure which one to get. there is a 3 channel one and a 4 channel one. i have 2 brake lines comming from the master which go to the ABS unit. then 2 lines come out for the front and one for the rear. which would lead me to think i need the 3 channel. BUT the one that goes to the rear gets split in the traction control and then i have 2 going to the rear also. so do i get the 4 channel or does the 3 channel come with a T fitting for the rear?

Re: removing ABS and traction control

One problem, it doesnt state anywhere on the site if I am not mistaken that the ABS delete kit takes the ASR traction control into consideration as well. I just called the company because I would like to do the same thing you are doing. I am pretty sure your car is 4 channel ABS. I talked to another guy on here that used this same kit and he mentioned getting a non asr throttle cable from GM. Then all you have to worry about is the hydraulic side which hopefully this kit will cover. I will let you know what I come up with.

ABS with Traction Control is a 4 channel setup. I will be puchasing the 3 channel(no trac control) kit for my car with the line lock kit from SJM.

Re: removing ABS and traction control

Talked to a guy from SJM today and he informed me that the delete kits they have for the 4 channel do indeed address the traction control as well. So now all you have to do is decide if you want the kit with or without line lock. I am going to order mine today! Finally, no more traction control!!! Good luck.

I'd like to know also. For those that have deleted ABS, how do you like it?
