Replace swaybar endlinks with car on ground?

Like it says, can I replace them with a load on the suspension, or do I have to have the car up on jack stands? What is the easiest, and safest, way to put new ones on?
Thanks

Much better 'loaded' than 'unloaded'..

The sway bars are only "loaded" when the car is cornering and they are resisting body roll.... or if you have jacked one corner of the car. It would be more difficult to swap the end links "loaded". There is virtually no load on the sway bars when the car is sitting on the wheels.... unless you are talking about a "drag style" swaybar like the Wolfe or Spohn. The easiest way to change them out is with the wheels on the ground, or with both sides of the car on jackstands. As long as the body is level, the sway bars are just hanging there with no load on them.

Definately loaded. Good luck trying getting them on unloaded.

OK. I didn't think about it that way. I thought maybe the ends would want to move up or down forceably when they were undone. Makes sense now, glad I asked.
Thanks
