replacing bushings

most of my bushings are shot so i thought i would replace the front ones with polyurathane and for the rear just buy new panhard bar and LCAs, how hard is it to replace the bushings on the front control arms? can i do it in my drive way with hand tools?

Re: replacing bushings

I just replaced all my front bushings with the ES poly kit last year. It is fairly difficult and time consuming because most of the stock rubber bushings have to be burned out with a propane torch. You will also need a press to press out the shells. You will also want a sturdy vice. You will need a ball joint and tie rod end separator tool. I spread the job over two days but you could do it in one if you worked hard. I did not enjoy doing it, but the results have been worth the effort.
