Only go with rod ends if you are willing to buy the best rod ends.
Aurora, QA1's XM series, etcetera. Unless you get the stainless races and teflon liners, you will soon find that they will loosen and rattle like crazy. Spohn sells a good rod end, I think QA1 XML/XMR series. That is the one you want.

Know what you ought to try? The new poly ball buhing from J&M products that is a sponsor of this website. I've used rod ends since April of 2000. The first non-hardened set lasted 3000 miles before they rattled themselves (and me) to death. The second set lasted only slightly longer. I now have some of the best quality QA1's on the car and we'll see how long they last. If they wear out, I will EBAY these LCA's for cheap and try out the J&M pieces.

Street cars see a lot of dirt, grit, gravel, water, salt, and other road debris that a race car might not normally see. It's a pretty harsh environment and rod ends just dont last as long as rubber or poly will. They loosen up, and although they will usually be safe, they get really, really noisy and your mom will think your car is falling apart.
