i got 275/40/17's and the tire rubs when the whole car sucks down.. i also have intrax lowering springs which i know slam the car..
now i know slp reccomends the use of jounce spacers..
so techincally if i find an ss car with 17's they would have jounce spacers already installed right? i just can see spending 30 bucks on two half inch blocks of aluminum.. if it comes down to it i will make some but if the ss came with it then its all gravy right?

I have a SS lowerer about 1 inch with the alu spacers removed. No problem here with rub issues.

How low is your car? Are you using factory 17inch rims or aftermarket?

I see OZ in your sig for wheels. If the wheel offset and rim is different you may have to massage the wheel well. I doubt if the spacers will help you, since you are probably almost on a two inch. More than likely the the jounce rubbers will rest on the axles.

You might be able to center the with a adj PHB and be done with it.

i have the OZ racing monte carlo wheels 17x9.5 and the car is lowered about 2" but the ? i really had was whether the SS came with the spacer from slp..

btw.. the fact that i drive about 90 mph has alot to do with the tires rubbing.. small slopes become long jumps..lol..

Yes the SS did come with the alu spacers.

Idon't think speed is the culprit. i drive between 160 and 170 mph without the aforementioned problems you have.

Wher is it rubbing on the leftside and the right side?

Is there equal spacing from the fenderwell lips to the tire?

yep yep yep..
you gotta think.. its 2"lower than factory all the way around.. so there is of coures less room for suspension travel.. slp reccomends the spacers with 17" wheels so it must have been a close fit.. i would rather the rear end bottom out on a rubber spacer than my tire rub my wheel well..

True but when it bottoms out on the snubber at 90mph it , you willget all kinds of crazy handling. That is the reason I removed mine .

Can you massage that fenderwell a little bit to stop it from rubbing.
