SFC problems

So I put my SFC's on about a month ago, and got my uncle to weld them on. I notice in the instructions that you may have to tighten up the LCA bolts up to 90 ftlbs to keep them from clunking around. Well I have mine up to 135 ftlbs and it still clunks when I hit a bump and when I hammer down. Any suggestions?

Re: SFC problems

I had the same problem with my KBDD SFCs. I had those removed and replaced with SLPs (much better SFCs by the way). The right rear LCA was R+R'ed. On the KBDDs there's a slot surrounding the LCA bolt hole; the LCA bolt hole became distorted once the SFCs were installed. Because of this I could never tighten the right side LCA and would get a clunk and movement. This actually caused some damage to the LCA mount over time. Now it's pretty much fixed, I don't get the same thunking sound or movement but it still binds only on the right rear LCA.

Re: SFC problems

Not sure. A good high performance should shop be able to fix the problem but I doubt this is DIY job.
