shocks and SFCs

well i know very little about suspension, i think my shocks are getting too old (130,000 miles) and they need to be replaced. I don't know what to get for my car.
the car is street driven
I don't do much hard cornering but do occasionaly like to push her a little bit
I do like to go to the drag strip
I don't want to spend a whole lot of money (hal shocks are too expensive)
Ive found tokico, bilstein, and hal but as i said hal shocks are just too expensive.

How would the eibach drag springs work? Is cornering worsened alot? Ive also heard of people using V6 firebird springs, what difference do these two make?

ive also been browsing for sub frame connectors. once again I dont know what kind (boxed, tube, diamond style) or what brand would be best for the dollar.

what to do?
