Which Springs are better for an Lt1? Hotchkis or BMR?

I have a 97 WS6 and I'm looking to lower the car. I don't want to go more than an inch all around. Which springs do you suggest?

Can't speak for BMR but I put hotchkis on and love em
Not too harsh (upgraded my shocks at the same time) but it handles SO much nicer in any turn now...

When I drop my car, I'm going with Hotchkis.

I'm happy with my Hotchkis/Bilstein setup for a streetable combo, but I don't doubt revalved Bilsteins would be even better. Hotchkis springs are a nice height if you don't want to worry about scraping and the spring rates start similar to stock and get stiffer from there for a nice ride. Pics in my sig.

I don't own an LT1 but from what I've heard, the Hotchkis will drop your car a little more than 1" after they've settled.

I got the slp level 2 kit. It was a modest drop less than an inch up front about 1.5 at the back. Quite a nice pkg. for a street toy.

if you want handling, i wouldnt suggest either. talk to sam strano at stranoparts.com and see what he tells you.

i had DMS lowering springs for a while (just like BMR/Hotchkis/SLP/whatever over the counter) and i didnt like the handling. i wish i had talked to sam before wasting my money, but i'm more for handling than looks. i'd rather be able to take a sharp curve at neck break speeds over looking cool any day

I got hochkis lowering springs on my 96z. I am not sure if they dropped it more than the stated inch but the car looks good where they dropped it to.
Handling is good and ride is not too much worse. Our roads are so bad here that its hard for anything to ride well. I have kyb agx shocks.Running them currently at 4 back and 3 front. Might go up a bit in front have to experiment.

In my 99 ls1 I have slp eibach springs the ones with the mild drop and kyb agx in there also.

I have the BMR's w/Bilstein HD's on mine. It handles pretty well and it has a really nice stance w/17's. The rear combo is a little bouncy over sharp bumps. Other than that, I have no complaints.

The BMRs are stiffer than the Hotchkis springs.
Hotchkis spring rates: Front 285-525 Rear 100-140
BMR: Front 310-550 Rear 145-170

I went with the Hotchkis because they are a little softer ride than the BMR. On crappy roads you will get pissed because u can feel like every bump (i bet the BMR would be worse on that). So id say go with hotchkis over bmr. It also dropped pretty close to the 1 inch. It seems just right; not too far but not too short in my opinion.
