Squeek coming from wheels during turning
Any guess as to what causes it? Just the front wheels, as far as I can tell the passenger side, also only when turning to the left. I was planning on getting new ***** joints soon anyway but do you think thats the cause?

Crwl under the car and wiggle things around to see if you can isolate the source. Bushings are a common source of squeaks. From my experience worn ball joints don't squeak, then create more of a cluck from play.

Re: Squeek coming from wheels during turning
my car just started to do the same thing, i thought it sounded like a sqweak (spelling?) too. i took my front tire off today...my brakes need to be done (i had figured it was them, since it had been a while since i changed them. if it aint too much trouble take off the front wheel and check the brakes. the metal indicator may be scratching the rotor. i am not too sure it that is the cause of the sqweaking of my car, but im gonna change the brakes anyway (once i figure how to take off the caliber). i will let you know if that fixed it for me...tuesday. good luck. oh yeah...also, does it do it while the tire is wet? i washed my car the other day, and it stopped sqweaking for a while, then started again (probably when it got dry).
later.

hey -
i changed my front brake pads, and the sqweaking noise stopped -- hopefully that is all you need to do. good luck. (if you change them, you need a 3/8" allen wrench to do it.)
