Squeeky As Hell

i jsut bought a 96 camaro z28 and i have had it checked out by 2 mechanics who both said that thought the rear end squeeked alot, liek when u just sit in the car, that it was mechanically sound, if this is so, how can i make the damn squeeks go away? or were they feedin me bull****

If the bushings have been replaced by Poly ones, they probably need to be dis-assembled and lubed; if they haven't been replaced it might be time.

Also might be a loose car, and in need of a set of subframes.

The rear springs squeak on their bottom perches. Just put some grease where the spring sits on the perch and it will go away.

I second the PHB. Take out and relube the bolts up with grease (or replace the bolts from GM if theyre really worn looking, mine were )

My rear brakes squeaked like hell. I used wd-40 on the calipers. Where the pad touched the caliper and stuff. Keep it away from the contact surface on the pads and the brakes if possible. I really dont have any squeeaks now.
