stock springs

I have V6 springs and shocks on the front of my car I have stock Z28 ones but never put then on. Now I like the way my car sits now. But the V6 springs are probley softer then the V8 ones do you think I can cut the Z28 springs so there like lowered springs and they will be stiffer maybe handle better. Thanks has anyone tryed this

Cutting springs is always questionable. People do it, but risk being off symmetrically. I would post this in the suspension forum.

Go to the suspension forum and search for "cutting stock springs".

You'll get all the information you need, including success stories and reasons not to do it.

a word of advice from one that's been there

DON'T cut the stock springs...

I did it and the ride height looked GREAT.

The ride itself SUCKED on anything but slick road.

Took it back to stock height after 3 months.
