StopTech Brake Kit

Re: StopTech Brake Kit
It's designed to mount to the LS1 uprights. Either get LS1 uprights or do the mods that people do to make the LS1 brakes fit on the LT1 uprights.
More than likely you'd need new wheels as well.

Re: StopTech Brake Kit
I think the LS1 brake has only different calipers, brackets and rotors....
What do you find in a StopTech kit? only calipers and rotors?
Than you need LS1 brackets.....
can you post a link to this brake kit?

Re: StopTech Brake Kit
I already told you, you'll need the LS1 uprights, or grind off the nubs from the LT1 ones as people do when they fit the LS1 brakes. The kit comes with calipers, rotors, brackets, and brake lines - but they are designed for the LS1 brake system.
In regards to whether your wheels will fit - there's a template somewhere on StopTech's site. Print it out, paste it to some cardboard, and try to fit it within your wheels - 18" isn't as important as caliper clearance going outwards. Stock 17x9" SS wheels do not fit over the StopTech brakes, for instance, without a spacer - the 17" is large enough, but the offset is not right.
