subframe install ???

Re: subframe install ???
You want the car as level as possible with it's weight on the wheels. A chassis lift can twist the the car slightly then the welded connectors will try to keep this twist in it. A drive on lift would be best.

I'm also interested in on how to install them.
I don't want to pay a shop to do what I can myself (weld) but unfortunately.. I don't have access to a drive on lift (onyl chassis)
How else can you do this?

Re: subframe install ???
I'm planning to install some using a chassis lift, but.....
We're going to let the car down onto floor jacks (the 5-6ft tall ones)...one under each front lower control arm, and two under the rearend. Obviously the main chassis lift will be only inches from the spots it should be at in case something goes wrong and it shifts.
Sounds dangerous, and might end up not doing it if i'm not comfortable at the time. Will let ya know.

Not sure what brand you're installing, but my BMRs are a little close to the fuel lines on the driver side...just be careful. Also, if they're painted, you'll need to grind off the paint to get a good weld joint.
