suspension mod guide

Got an 02z with bolt ons(pacesetter Lts, TSP ORY, ported tb,vig2800,shift kit, tranny cooler, SLP lid and CAI, tune, 160 stat, granatelli fuel pump, magnaflow cat back, 3.73s) The rest is stock. Anybody have advice or a site for suspension mods. I plan to do heads and cam later, but don't have specifics on them yet. Will probably get 17" or 18" rims and some 275 or wider ET street or drag radial tires, at least in the rear. I have 16" rims with 245/50r16s all around now. My ultimate goal is to beat stock z06 vets and remain as streetable as possible. Keep around 12 mpg or so. I drive the car probably around 35 miles a day. When should I start to mod the suspension and where to start? ps I have an a4. Thanks!

Re: suspension mod guide

Shocks
Springs
LCA relocation brackets
LCA (either tubular or boxed)
Swaybars (35mm front, 21mm rear)
Panhard rod
Subframe Connectors

Do searches on all these different components. You will find a ton of info about anything you want to know.

I would start with subframes, swaybars, LCA relo brackets, LCAs, and panhard. No specific order.

Re: suspension mod guide

Appears you are interested more in straight line traction than in going around corners fast????? Might want to add some more on your priorities. That will determine what you need.

18" wheels are not the way to go for hooking a high HP setup. Whether you need things like the sway bars listed above depends on your goals.... they will help lot on cornering, but could hurt on a drag strip application.
