Re: t top conversion?

It should be cutting where the t's goes but it must be a job well done or the car is going to loose a lot of it's rigidity and it might leak in rains.

Re: t top conversion?

No "bolts" involved. The coupe roof is plastic. You cut the front of the panel off with a grinding wheel or a saw. Then there is a sheet metal structural member on each side, above the door opening that needs to be cut out. As you noted, the "t" member is already there.

Go to this website:

http://dw-zone.com/

Click on "My 94 Formula....", scroll down to "Winter 2000/2001", and click on the "install t-top" link. Excellent photos and narrative.

Re: t top conversion?

yeah you do have to cut but ~80% of the factory t-top stuff is on a a hardtop car. Holes for the center trim bar, most of the lip for the weatherstripping, etc...

Re: t top conversion?

wow thanks. i would have never gotten thru that without some instructions. So would you do it again? was it worth it? I can get the whole set up out of a wrecked car for 100 bucks. Im a jack of all trades master of none do you think it was a hard job?
