Taking the camaro to the track

I was wondeirng how these cars handle on a race track. I alsways wanted a car for open track days. Not drag strips but actual road courses. I dont want it to be spinning every corner i take at any type of speed. I know how to take a car on corners but i want teh car to hold the road to. I did race the racing go karts when i was little so i have some expierence on racing lines and what not.
