I'm glad that's working for you. But I'll stick with the torque wrench method. I'm just more comfortable knowing that everything is evenly torqued.
I've done this with every car I've owned and have never had a problem. I'm not a young guy, so thats quite a few. My dad and grandpa (who was a mechanic) never used torque wrenches on them either. Using a torque wrench on lugs is something that came about because the factory started installing cheap low weight rotors.
