think ive got a bad shock

i think ive got a bad rear shock, the passengers side sits higher than the driver side and its driving my insane, i cant stand little things like this! which would be the bad one tho? cuz the one sittin high makes more noise, but wouldnt the lower be the bad one? or maybe its not the shock, any help would be appreciated

Shocks don't really effect ride height, springs do. Check to ensure the spring pockets and mounting points are not damaged in any way... but more than likely a spring is just sinking. That, or the shock bolt could be coming loose too I suppose.

best way to see if a shock is good, take the car out for a good beating and get under the car and feel the shock. if its cold, its not working.
