For those considering aftermarket A-arms

These are pics of the poly bushings in my BMR A-arms. I was having trouble with alignment (tires wearing on the outside) and the front end was sitting lower than the back. BMR was very cordial and gave me a store credit for these. Apparently they were supposed to have grease fittings. I put the rebushed stockers back on and it handles much better.

at least they made things right, i've had the same issue after installing new ball joints shocks lower springs and poly bushings in stock A-arms. the outs ide, especially of the drivers side tire wears quickly. i had it aligned twice and still pulled and wore tires in same manner. one day i noticed the driver side sat slightly lower than passanger side. the reason for this had to be the upper strut mounts, since that was the only thing i did not replace earlier. i replace the mounts, the ride height is back to normal... but winter has no allowed me the time get the car aligned and see if the proble, is fixed. hopefully that will fix the problem

After reading some posts by Sam Strano I am realizing that maybe GM knew what they were doing using rubber instead of polyurethane bushings. My bushings are a perfect example of cold flow. Lower control arms and a-arms are not a good place for Polyurethane bushings.

Won't be a problem for me, I can't afford aftermarket front a-arms. I will just replace the bushings and ball joints on the stockers and call it a day. At least they made things right though. What are you going to do with the store credit, another set of a-arms or something different?

They sent me out an adjustable torque arm this week. Very nice quality.

AHH... another problem with BMR a-arms. My shock mounts bent after hitting a bump that on any other car would do nothing... BMR made it right with me too though, they sent me a replacement pair of a-arms, but i did notice that the grease zerk on the new ones for the front bushings were in a different place than the old ones.. now they sit up inside my k-member and are not accessable for greasing... another reason i am getting a new k-member (stock one is bent)
