Im in the middle of installing KYB shocks in my buddies 96 z and the new KYB rear shocks DO NOT have any mounting bolt pre installed on the bottom of the shock where it mounts to the rearend like the stock shocks do. I managed to get the old bolt out of the old shock but there is no way I can get it installed WITH the rubber into the new shock. I ended up having to cut the old shock up just to see how it was put together.

Can I get away with just buying new bolts from the hardware store and using them?
