tie rod end torque specs?

tie rod end torque specs?

96 firebird here, just want to know what the torque specs are for the castle nut that goes over the tie rod end.

I never looked up the specs for that vehicle, but usually it's around 65ft lbs. Then tighten until you line the nut up to get the cotter pin in.

Oh, too tight. It's 35 lb. ft. and max of 52 to align a slot for the cotter pin. Do not back off the nut to align the hole.
