My car sits about 1/2" taller than stock in the back, because of the Eibach Drag Launch springs. I have the Spohn LCA relo brackets, with the LCA's set in the lowest hole. It was the single best thing I ever did for the rear suspension. It eliminated a lot of wheel hop. Steve Spohn installed the relo brackets and set them up... I just left them alone and it worked great.

I know the "early" V6's had the 2-piece driveshaft, with the intermediate support bearing bolted to the torque arm. Did they keep doing that after 1998?

Re: Torque Arm Question

If you do decide on a torque arm, talk to Steve Spohn at www.spohn.net.
And think about getting a TA that moves the front mount off of the transmission. As our cars are getting older and power levels are going up I would strongly advise on moving the TA.

I thought that I'd save a few bucks with a stock mounted aftermarket TA. I ended up being lucky that no one was hurt when the tail shaft cracked, LPE driveshaft broke in half, and bent the Spohn TA at 6100 rpm on the dyno...Live and learn...Just think what would've happened if I was racing at the track when it happened..Not a sermon, just a thought, now back to our regularly scheduled post...

Re: Torque Arm Question

I didn't notice anything with my first Spohn TA which mounted in the stock location. I hear that you lose a little ground clearance with the cross member mounted TA and that it is a little noisy, but I'll know for certain on Tuesday and I'll let you know...
