Tubular A Arms??

Ultimately, I want to know if these are really that necessary. I'm sure they help, but relative to what I have and how much money they cost.

As far as suspension upgrades, I will have new springs, gas adjustable shocks, adjustable torque arm, pahnard bar and lower control arms.

I am considering getting the Spohn Tubular A arms, but would you guys recomend them?? Also, they have 4 different kinds varying in price from $295 to $495.

1) Tubular A-Arms with polyurethane bushings - $295
2) Tubular A-Arms with polyurethane busings and spring "Boxes" - $395
3) Tubular A-Arms with spherical Rod ends $395
4) Tubular A-Arms with spherical rod ends & spring "Boxes" - $495

What does all this different stuff do?

Well your going to have to use spring boxes if you want to use springs.
The ones that don't have a place for stock or stock replacement springs are for coil overs, and you have to fab up the place to hook them too.
You will most likely want poly bushings and spring boxes, rod end ones are for hard core racers the rod ends will make the ride rougher. I wouldn't put rod end LCA's on my street car.
The cheapest ones are just the striped down version you have to make the place for the spring to sit.

Re: Tubular A Arms??

necessary? no, the factory A-arms are set and cannot be adjusted, so when you put on aftermarket springs the grometry of almost the entire suspension is misaligned. teh adjustable units from BMR allow for the proper -3 degrees so the arms arent binding. the stock units can handle the stress, but for serious street and racing use, get them and have them professionally dialed in to perfection. but for a daily driver/mild street used car, it's only good for reducing weight/unsprung weight.
