UMI Sub Frame Connectors
Whos got the UMI 3-pt Tubular SFC's? They look like a real quality product and from searching on here, looks like they have been well recieved. However I do have a question regarding them and tubular SFC's in general. With tubulars, are you able to jack the car up from them, as you are able to with boxed SFC's? I really like the idea of being able to jack one side of my car up with a jack right in the middle of the car. Also, whats the ground clearnace loss like with the UMI's?

Do a search over at ls1tech for UMI, there seems to be a lot of people using them there. UMI claims they do not cause any ground clearance lose and they have some good pictures on there site. I have the boxed weld-ins installed.

Re: UMI Sub Frame Connectors
I have had the SLP boxed 3 point SFC's on all three of my cars, and loved them, on the T0top cars there is the largest difference.
While some say I lost ground clearance, I say not really as they are only lower then the next lowest point by a very slight amount. And even still I didnt rub them on anything but the monster speed bumps at one place here and only if I went straight over them.
I am sorry I cant comment on the UMI though.

Re: UMI Sub Frame Connectors
I have the UMI 3 point SFCs and they are a quality piece. You may lose a little ground clearance, but not much. Definitely higher than my exhaust (LTs). I have never jacked my car up from them and have heard it is bad... but I am sure you COULD.
I think that SFCs helped a bit...maybe, but I didn't notice the HUGE difference that some people claim.
