I finally got to put it on after getting it from a member on this board, I just took my grinder with a cut off disc on there and cut right into the rubber and through the rivets, then tapped them out with a punch and hammer, only took about 30 min to do

theres not engine in the car so I cant road test it, but it did take the extra play that Ihad in my steering out of there.

I installed one last year. Didnt notice any vibrations. Its worth it to do on a high milage car. I only have 48K on mine, did it while installing Kooks long tubes.

Just a word of advise, when tapping out those rivets be sure that you don't collapse or expand the upper part of the steering joint If you do be sure to tap it back to normal length. Just did this on my car and the steering rack, all the play i had in the wheel is gone now!

Do you know the dimensions of your rag joint eliminator? I was hoping to make my own. I've got access to a shop at school which has a mill and plenty of aluminum stock.

I dont know mine. But it was identicle to the old stock rubber piece.
