Were Did My Traction Go ?????
Need some advice here. I recently swapped the factory GM 10-bolt rear end for a Moser 9" rear end. Car launched great with the factory rear. Put everything back the way it was in old rear . Eibach drag launch springs same pinion angle evrything. Spring perches are a shade higher on this rear end. Took to the track yesterday and spun badly, even spun when it went to 2nd. Looks like it would load and raise left front about 3inches in the air then break traction. NEED HELP !!!!!!
Thanks
Brad

Did you keep whatever you were using in the way of a sway bar with the stock rear? Is it still attached the same way? Sounds like the right rear is dropping, left front is rising, and the body it rolling too much. Might be as simple as an airbag in the right rear spring.
Did you check the LCA's with the 9-inch, to make sure the axle end is lower than the body end? If the front is coming up and the rear of the body is squatting, the body end of the LCA is going to drop below the axle end, and will start to lift the wheel = loss of traction.
Hard to tell exactly what kind of power you are throwing at it though.

We have not put the sway bar on yet. It will be on this week. Did have air bag in right rear at 5psi. Car would leave and rear would spin to the right. So I took air out of bag and seemed to launch more straight. Roughly 425 hp at the rear wheels.

What caused the back end of the car to raise up 2"? The axle tubes on the 9-inch might be larger diameter, but that's not going to change it by 2"???? Something sounds screwy. The front of the LCA's would be so far above level that even with "squat" it shouldn't be a problem.
Missing sway bar is hurting, as noted in the post above. 5psi is the minimum allowable pressure in the bag. When I ran a bag, I used 16psi. Sounds like you shuold have pumped it up a little, rather than removing it.
