What rotors to buy for C5 upgrade?
I just ordered the adapter brackets from LG, Now i just want to know what rotors i should get. im trying to keep cost down, and i dont want any cross driled.
I think i have gotten it down to 3
1. power slots
2. frozen brembo blanks
3. kvr slots
what do you guys think, is it worth it the have the frozen brembos, but on the other hand i like the finish on the kvr and powerslots. i have also read that powerslot buys their blanks from brembo. is that true? they are all about the same price (around $230 shipped) any other brands i missed? remember im looking for C5 spec rotors. and they will be used for street, and very very little track.

well, if you're car is mainly just a street car, why not just get c5 stock rotors?
go to autozone and pick up c5 replacement rotors....
for a street car, i don't see the need to buy those more expensive rotors....it's not really like you're using them to any sort of extreme....
and if you still feel like spending more money, get stainless steel brake lines and use a better brake fluid...

Even on the track none of those above are any better really than stock C5 rotors properly broken in.
All the drilling and slotting and cryo-ing is just flushing money down the toilet. Stock rotors are cheap enough you could replace them several times for the same cost as the above options.

that realy sounds like a good idea lucas. i just checked autozone and they are $50 each. if i did that i could buy some braded lines. i know that the aimco rotors for the f-body are much better then stock, so i would guess that aimco vette rotors are pretty good aswell. It would look kinda dumb with some powerslots in front and rusty stockers in the back anyway.
when i change the lines, should i change the fluid as well? what kind of fluid should i get?

again, with the fact that your car is mainly just a street car, you're not going to need some real high performance brake fluid that can cope with really high temperatures.
so, i'm not sure what fluid(s) would suit your needs....
