Saved my *** again, thanks Rob!
Does it have a nut at the other end or is it just a bolt?

It's just a bolt. If ya look on the other end where the bolt goes through, you'll see it's threaded.

Damn, I have a bigger problem. I cant get them together. Is there a trick or a tool? There isnt enough slack to slide it in to put the bolt through.

Do what? You put the top of the linkage over the shaft first, all the way up, then slide the bottom of the linkage over the steering rack shaft.

It doesnt want to slide in, Ive tried moving it around and I cant get it to slide in...
Possibly if I beat on it at the right angle with a hammer...

I have another ? for you...
Do the threads need to be on the top side or the bottom? The steering wheel is centered/straight.
*edit: I think its supposed to be down

Threads need to be down. With the wheel straight and the tires straight, you should be able to access both bolts from the top.

The rack stub has a half round cut out in it. You have to have the base of the lower u joint turned so the through hole for the bolt lines up with the cut out in the rack stub shaft. It will not pass though until you get this lined up.

Take your fingers and check the stub shaft and you will feel the notch.
