wheel hop?
i am dropped 2in all around and im not sure bout the shocks. stock i think.
when leavin from a dig if i spin i get horrible wheel hop.
tq arm is in good shape as are all bushings. rear shocks seem to be in good shape. what would cause it.

Re: wheel hop?
If you've dropped you car 2 inches then you'll need relocation brackets for your rear lower control arms. Basically, the "chassis" end of your LCAs is now even lower then the "axle" end. You need relocation brackets to move the "axle" end back down to give you the proper angle to keep you axle planted.

Bad shocks will do it too, but you think yours are good?

Re: wheel hop?
yeah, it seems to ride good and dont "trampoline" real bad when i hit a big bump or something.
where can i find the brackets. i am loosing lots of time cause i have to back peddle to gain traction and then when i get on it again it goes crazy, then off it again. i am losin 0-80 races to slower cars

Re: wheel hop?
Check our supporting vendors. Most of them have them. BMR seems to be a common brand for these relocation brackets. They come in "weld in" and "bolt on". I plan to install some in the future...didn't lower my car and don't have enough power to worry about excessive wheelhop.

Re: wheel hop?
Yes the lower relocation brackets are what you are going to need. While your tearing it apart you may also want to look into some LCA's also....... Contact us if you have any questions.

Re: wheel hop?
You don't "need" relo brackets. This automatic must-have is a persistent internet myth.
I used to drag race my car at stock height on stock springs and shocks using aftermarket control arms.
The wheel hop was horrible at times. Even at the "proper" LCA angle.
I now get my kicks autocrossing. I have lowered the car and spent some money on good shocks. I can launch the car hard on R compounds with no wheel hop.
Since I have no relo brackets and therefore my LCAs are obviously still declined toward the front (good for handling BTW), what do you think the difference is?
Shocks are key no matter what you want to do with the car.

Re: wheel hop?
yeah the car handles like its on a freakin rail. but lug it in first and stomp it and it jars the car apart from wheel hop. i lost a race to a mid 8 second srt-4 last night from a stop cause of the wheelhop makin me get in and out of it. but when we did a 20punch it didnt hop and i pulled him by 2cars to 90.
is there a way i could make my own brackets or something? ive never seen them is there a pic i could go by.
