Wierd ABS Problem
Ive never encountered a problem like this before, but this morning on my way to work car is acting like the ABS is intermitenly coming on at the end of braking at a stop sign. The instant before the car comes to a COMPLETE stop, I can hear a selonoid clicking on and off, the LOW TRAC light comes on, and the ABS releases the brakes allowing the car to roll about 3-4 feet before the brakes come back and stop the car. I tried hitting the brakes harder, coming to a quicker stop, and again the ABS came on right before the car came to a complete stop, but not while heavy braking. Did it through every stop sign on the way into the office this morning, but hasnt done it before today. Since I was at my office parking lot and trying to hurry to get in, I didnt get a chance to check the brake fluid, but I dont think that would have anything to do with it....lots of stopping power except when ABS kicks in. I did pull the front wheels off yesterday and had fresh rubber put on, then put the wheels back on, but didnt think I did anything to cause this. Just a coincidence? Any suggestions on a cause? Bad wheel sensors?
